Landowner Restoration Workshop-Nov 21 2019

Hold the date: A free, practical hands-on restoration techniques workshop for landowners in the Twelve Mile Creek watershed and all interested in eco-restoration.


Thursday, November 21, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Lookout Point Country Club, Fonthill.


Flooding? Erosion? Find out why it happens, how it can be prevented and what you can do.


Restoration experts Ian D. Smith and Harry Reinders will explain why we are experiencing property damage and what you can do to help protect your property from more damage.


Ian Smith is a fluvial geomorphologist, Professor of Environmental/GIS studies at Niagara College and the projects committee chair of the Niagara Chapter of Trout Unlimited Canada.


Harry Reinders has been working on stream projects over 40 years ago and has constructed many kilometres of stream restoration utilizing a variety of design techniques and access limitations.
